12mo (140x86 mm), contemporary full black leather binding, with rich gilt decorations at spine and at both covers (a gilted cross in a frame), gilted title at spine, gilted edges, marbled papers at paste-downs; pp. XI, [1], 744. Full page plates at frontispiece and in the text.

[1.]: A fine copy in a precious binding, with light traces of use and occasional foxing. [2.]: A fine binding. Stark water-stains at first 30 leaves, including frontispiece and title-page. Occasional foxing. Overall, a modest copy. Lot not subject to return.
