Description
London, England, ca. 1930 to 1950 CE. A larger than life size plastic model of the inner and outer ear mounted upon a black wooden platform. The model can be dissassembled into its components. The roof of the external auditory meatus lifts out to reveal the canal, ear drum, and bony apparatus, nerves, and semicircular canals, which are also removable. An original black and white label reading, "T. Gerrard & Co. Ltd - Biologists - Naturalists - Osteologists - Models - Chemicals - Apparatus - 48 Pentonville Rd. London, N. 1." is attached to the lower right corner of the base. Size: 14" x 8-1/2" x 7-1/4" (35.6 x 21.6 x 18.4 cm)

Intact with minor surface wear as shown. What appears to be a break to the pink painted metal strip attached to one of the inner components was actually intentional, ensuring that all parts can be removed.
