Description
A fine and rare Korean two-panel screen. Joseon Dynasty (1392-1897) late 18th / early 19th century. Hand-painted screen having overall "Morando" flowers. The stylized rockery are formed as mythological beasts / foo lions in both panels. Each painting mounted on silk brocade and measure 68" high, 21.25" wide. The panels each measure 73" high, 25.5" wide. Overall: 73" high, 49" wide when fully open.
