AN ASSEMBLED GROUP OF NINETEEN ROYAL DOULTON CHARACTER MUGS/JUGS, AND ONE ASSOCIATED STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN INDIAN HEAD MUG, UNDERGLAZE GREEN AND BLACK MARKS, 20TH CENTURY, comprising a large "North American Indian", D611, circa 1966, height: 7 3/4"; a large "Pickwick," Australian, Registered Numbers 821921, black underglaze marks, height: 5 1/4"; a "Rip Van Winkle," D6463, circa 1954, height: 4 1/4"; thirteen various small character mugs/jugs, approximate heights: 2 1/2", three miniature character mugs/jugs, approximate heights: 1 1/4", together with a Staffordshire American Indian head mug/jug, with circular underglaze black printed mark, "STAFFORDSHIRE FINE CERAMICS MADE IN ENGLAND," enclosing a crowned pretzel centering, "FSC," over, "A MEMBER OF YIELDCONE," height: 4 1/2". Condition
Each is in Good shape, with normal glaze crazing (crackled), some might have a tiny spot where color flaked off, some have a tiny base chip, One miniature, "Fat Boy," mug/jug has broken handle loss as does one small "Sam Weller" mug/jug handle. Underglaze black maker's marks are noted in the description with those that have one. Simpson Galleries strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
