A LARGE JAPANESE IMARI STYLE POLYCHROME ENAMELED PORCELAIN FISH BOWL, 20TH CENTURY, of tapering circular bud form and traditional enameled colors, with a flat rim with a continuous band of triangular reserves depicting floral sprays, above a similarly detailed collar and elaborately painted sides depicting two Beijing beauties alighting the stairs of a tiered roof pavilion set amidst ancient pines, draping wisteria, and other auspicious blossoming foliage, partitioned by stylized Buddhistic wheels issuing shaped diapered panels, above a base rim of leafy banding, enclosing an interior of scattered khoi and marine foliage. Height: 17 3/4" Diameter: 21"
