AN ANTIQUE ENGLISH PROVINCIAL MAHOGANY LONGCASE CLOCK, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, with a scrolling broken pediment flanking a giltwood finial, on a rectangular arched bonnet with disengaged fluted Doric colonettes, centering a glazed door opening to a white painted circular dial with black Roman chapters, enclosing blued cut metal hands and twin key escapements dividing two circular painted dials with single blued metal hands, surmounted by an arched hand painted panel with a smoking gentleman farmer strolling in a winter scene with his companion dog, alongside his daughter carrying kindling wood, over a long rectangular case having a hinged door within canted corners, on a conforming tall block form base raised on arched bracket feet. Height: 86 1/2" Width: 18 3/8" Depth: 9 1/2"
