A PAIR OF CHINESE POLYCHROME PAINTED PORCELAIN FIGURES OF A PRINCELY NOBLEMAN, IMPRESSED SEAL MARK, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, modeled wearing an elaborate gilt headdress with faux malachite decoration and pierced for additional details (now lacking), above a serene smiling expression with long wavy black facial hair and holding a turquoise enameled ruyi scepter, over an iron red ground robe enclosing roaring four claw dragons and flaming pearls above a celestial diagram decorated hem, the other with similar expression and details while holding a smiling infant boy within his arms and wearing a pale blue cloth cap of lingzhi scrolls, above a long turquoise ground robe with scattered famille rose peony sprays centering circular rank badges of a spread winged crested bird, while holding a smiling infant boy, each reversing to an unglazed underside with an oval impressed character seal mark.
