A VINTAGE SATSUMA PARCEL GILT AND POLYCHROME ENAMELED EARTHENWARE VASE, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, painted in traditional colors on a tapering ovoid body, with sides centering a conforming reserve of two samurai noblemen wearing traditional multi-patterned robes and carrying swords, flanking a warrior in traditional armor before a mountainous landscape, beneath the gilt spread wings of a phoenix, reversing to a similarly shaped reserve enclosing three samurai noblemen with stern expressions and wearing gilt cloth caps with multi patterned robes while carrying swords, before a distant mountainous landscape beneath the spread wings of a phoenix, within shaped diapered panels and large blossoms, flanked by applied sacred knot modeled handles, surmounted by a similarly painted neck and rim, underside have faint remnants of character mark signature, raised on a pierced carved hardwood stand.
