A PAIR OF DIMINUTIVE JAPANESE POLYCHROME AND GOLDSTONE ON BLACK GROUND ENAMELED CLOISONNÉ BUD VASES, LATE MEIJI (1868 -1912) OR TAISHO (1912-1926) PERIODS, each of ovoid form with tapering lobed sides centering iron red and gold stone panels of fluttering butterflies amongst flowering scrolling vines alternating elegant long tail feathered phoenix, beneath a floral banded collar and flaring circular spout enclosing scattered blossoms. Height: 6 1/4" Diameter: 2 5/8"
