A CHIPPENDALE STYLE CARVED MAHOGANY AND NEEDLEWORK UPHOLSTERED ARMCHAIR, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY, with a serpentine crest rail above a reticulated intertwined ribbon splat flanked by rectangular stiles issuing scrolling "S" form arms, on a trapezoidal needlework upholstered seat centering a polychrome floral roundel on a dusty light blue ground, raised on cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet.

Good old condition, surface buildup, normal marks and scratches, wood worn in areas from use, needlework is possibly of a later date and slightly faded with normal wear along edge - needs cleaning, frame is fairly sturdy.
