A RURAL AMERICAN CHIPPENDALE CARVED MAHOGANY SIDE CHAIR, LATE 18TH/EARLY 19TH CENTURY, with a serpentine crestrail above a reticulated scrolling and vertical strap work detailed splat, flanked by square form stiles on a trapezoidal seat enclosing a conforming drop in seat, raised on square legs joined by box form stretchers. Height: 37" Width: 19 1/2" Depth: 15 1/2"
Condition
Normal wear associated with furniture of this age, use and materials, with crestrail having hand wear, surface marks and scratches throughout, age cracks, drop in seat reupholstered and fabric faded, spotting.
