Description
A late Victorian banded agate locket, circa 1880. The oval rock crystal cabochon, with glazed reverse and banded agate cabochon surround, suspended from a tapered surmount loop. Length 5.1cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Piece probably recently re-filded. Rock crystal with small area of scuffs. Patterned paper to the back. Reverse of locket has straw and dried flower arrangement, faded. One banded agate with rough finish to side of cabochon. Agate mounts slightly dented, possible replacement gems. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Total weight 25gms.
