Description
A mid 20th century emerald and diamond bracelet. Of openwork design, the rectangular-shape emerald collet and graduated old-cut diamond links, each within an old-cut diamond stylised foliate surround, to the push clasp. Estimated dimensions of emerald 9.8 by 8.6 by 5mms. Estimated total diamond weight 15 to 16cts, principal diamonds estimated H-tinted colour, VS2-SI2 clarity. Length 17.8cms. Weight 30.2gms. With case.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Some discolouration at the clasp. Diamonds moderately well matched. Principal diamonds within eaqch link vary, mostly I-J colour, one appears better colour, one slightly worse colour (J-K) and two of the smaller diamonds appear tinted. Individual size and setting of smaller diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Few surface reaching inclusions to some of the smaller diamonds. Emerald is a medium slightly bluish green hue, noticeable window effect through the centre of the gem, with fair to good clarity and typical inclusions. Emerald is in fair condition with few small moderate abrasions. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Case is fitted, does not appear to quite fit the case. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
