VICTORIAN STERLING DOUBLE INKSTAND BY HAYNE & CARTER, LONDON, 1865-66, L 8":An elongated sterling silver stand centered by a taper stick with candle snuff, flanked by matching cut crystal inkwells, each having a sterling silver removable cover. All hallmarks match and include a lion passant, uncrowned leopard, date letter "k", and queen's profile, along with maker's mark "SH/DC", probably for Samuel Hayne and Dudley Carter. The stand only measures H.1" x 8 3/8" x 5 3/4", and weighs approximately 12.45 troy oz.

One bottle is lacking the sterling silver band about the opening, and also has numerous chips to the rim; overall, condition is good.
