AMERICAN IRIDESCENT JACK-IN-THE-PULPIT VASE, gold iridescent, button pontil mark, spurious Tiffany signature. Attributable to Tiffany Studios or Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company. First quarter 20th century. 19 1/2" HOA, 11" DOA petal, 5 1/2" D base.
Glass undamaged with minor area of dirt build up to the back side of the bloom, residue to the interior of the vase.

Catalogue Note: After examining this piece, we discovered that is had an unusually strong reaction to black light and a strong green tint, confirming the presence of uranium in the glass. After consulting with several experienced researchers of Tiffany and iridescent art glass of the early 20th century, it was revealed to us that the only two manufacturer's of iridescent art glass of this period, which also contained uranium in their formulas, were Tiffany Studios and Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company.
