Description

Continental, late 19th/early 20th century. Hand carved and polychrome wood merry-go-round or carousel carriage of tapered form with sides ornamented with recessed florals and patera blocks in red and pink against white ground, blue painted surround, weathered patina throughout, interior in deep brick red with double sided bench seating. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 33", width (at top) 44.4", depth (at top) 33.9". Provenance: From a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
