Large scale art nouveau poster advertising for Parisian Absinthe, depicting beautiful woman in revealing gown with copper hair upswept, with glass of absinthe in her right hand (likely a version of La Féerie Verte -- or, the Green Fairy -- who was the Parisians' personification of absinthe); with her left hand embracing the wrist of an elderly man in tall hat, or top hat, and elaborate collar; with a life-sized bottle of absinthe in the background; with inscription at top center "ABSINTHE PARISIENNE"; with inscription at lower center "BOIS DON, tu verras anres.." and "DISTILLE du VAL-ROGER a VILLIERS-SUR-MARNE". Poster is linen-backed (or laid to linen) and adhesive hinged to board. Poster with creasing commensurate with having been folded into 8 sections, some creases with in-painting, minor loss to upper right most crease (not distracting). Mat burn to lower and left margins, approximately 0.5 inches. Margins with scattered pin hole punctures and minor tears. Upper left corner with tear spanning approximately 4.5", not overwhelming. Single, small brown discoloration to lower left quadrant.
