Description
Continental, probably French, late 19th/early 20th century. A Louis XVI style polychrome wood chandelier having a four scroll and acanthus carved open cage centering a carved flambeau torch over a simulated basket carved around the rim with polychrome roses and issuing four scrolling candlearms surmounted with foliate carved candlecup and simulated wax candlesleeves, the whole terminating in four carved tassels. Approximate height 45", diameter 38". Provenance: Purchased from Jacqueline Adams Antiques, 425 Peachtree Hills Avenue, Suite 7, Atlanta, GA 30305, whereby acquired by a Private Collection in Atlanta, Georgia.
