Description
Italian, 17th century. Pair of relief carved walnut wood panels depicting rosettes in upper corners, architectural element with broken swan neck pediment with pointed finial at center above scrolling surrounded by finely carved scrolled foliates. One panel measures approximately 22.9" x 20.6", the other approximately 22.9" x 20.75". Provenance: Joanna Booth, 247 Kings Road, London, England whereby acquired by Dr. Woody and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia in July of 1981. Note: Copy of original invoice available upon request.
