Description
English, circa 1690 - 1710. Early Georgian oak side or tavern table having a rectangular twin board top over a relief carved frieze of joined trefoils beneath arcading on all four sides concealing one hidden frieze drawer (later replacement), raised on turned legs united by a straight box stretcher. Approximate height 27.5", width 31.25", depth 22.5". Provenance: Property from the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs & Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia. Purchased from James Island Antiques, Robert & Roxanne Werowinski, 2028 Maybank Hwy, Charleston, SC 29412 on April 7, 2000.
