Description
Royal Worcester (British, 1751). A collection of porcelain serving pieces in the Evesham pattern comprising three matching round lidded tureens with side loop handles, one round lidded server with domed lid and side handles, one tall lidded crock with looping side handles and acorn finial to lid, a deep bowl with straight fluted sides, a small shallow round dish with lid, four pie crust walled servers, and three shallow square bowls, each piece with hand painted peaches, plums, corn, olives, apples, berries, lemons, and pears on leafy stems and having gilt accents. 3 matching tureens width across handles 9", height 5". Diameter of pie crust dishes 10". Square bowls approximately 10.5" wide. Round bowl approximate diameter 7.5". Tall crock approximate width across handles 11". Domed lid server approximate width across handles 10.5". Provenance: acquired by the Estate of Dr. Woody Cobbs and Mrs. Honor Cobbs, Atlanta, Georgia.
