Description
An oil on canvas illustration by Roger Duvoisin (1904 - 1980) for the March 20, 1937 edition of The New Yorker magazine, signed lower left, canvas measures 28.5 x 21.5, frame measures 36 x 29 inches. Wikipedia: 'Swiss-born American writer and illustrator, best known for children's picture books. He won the 1948 Caldecott Medal for picture books[2] and in 1968 he was a highly commended runner-up for the biennial, international Hans Christian Andersen Award for children's illustrators. In 1961 he received an award from the Society of Illustrators. In 1966 he received the Rugers Bi-Centennial award.'
Condition
A very few tiny spots of touch-up visible under UV light. No damage or repair. Clean and very good.
