Description
A one and a half handwritten letter from 1902 prior to his marriage to his, wife Dolly with an envelope addressed to Miss Lina E. Roth. The letter discusses the reserving of some rooms, asking her "...for Heaven's sake stick by me and don't let your mother and Mrs. G. change their minds and thus cost me a couple of hundred dollars". He goes on to tell her he is very busy and to tell him the initial letter of the chapters of his book. Singed "Pearl" and with envelope; The second letter is from Long Key, Florida in 1912. This two page letter opens with telling her that he is fighting off mosquitoes and hasn't written much. Thanking her for a sending a picture of her, Betty and the boy [Loren?]. It goes on to say that he knows she is going to be busy with the new house and "Don't be afraid to buy what you want". Signed "Doc" with envelope. Both in Very Good plus condition with usual folds.
