Typed letter on his stationery and which is signed by two seldom seen sign offs "Louise & Alfred Miller" and "Sparse Grey Hackle". His usual signing is simply "Sparse". The letter contains a thank you for a package of "variegated goodies" received, Charlie Fox and the Amish people, and the recent travels of his wife, Louise. Three typed letters in lengths of 1, 2 and 3 pages to his friend, Howard Schuck, with two on Anglers' Club of New York stationery, on signed "Sparse Grey Hackle" and the other two "Sparse". Topics include his health, Buzzard Bay, Cape Cod, his son and wife and how they are much involved in volunteering, giving talks to angling clubs, celebrating his 53rd anniversary with his wife at The DeBruce club, fishing the ponds on the Cape, typographical errors in "Fishless Days, Angling Nights" and other titles. A typed copy of a letter, unsigned to the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Assn. of Soldotna, Alaska giving his recommendation of his friend Howard Schuck and his qualifications as well as a little background of his own as well.
