Extremely rare gold anodized earliest version of this reel with large red handle and spool retainer from an original production lot of likely less than 250 reels. This is a Ca. 1950's spinning reel designed and built by Bob McChristian who set the standard for high quality spinning reels with this model. It is a full bail model with a water proof gear case and an automatic silent anti-reverse lock. Comes in mechanically Excellent condition and in overall Very Good plus condition with some corrosion on the foot (corrosion is heavier on the underside). Also includes an extra spool in a plastic spool case and original drawstring leather bag.
