This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE LADIES WRISTWATCH that was made in the ART DECO style during the 1930s. It is HANDMADE from PLATINUM by WALSER WARD in ARGENTINA and it has a SWISS MOVEMENT. The back is stamped GARANTI PLATINE, which translate to Guaranteed Platinum. The movement is in working order, but this is not a watch for everyday. These types of diamond cocktail watches are now typically bought to be worn as a bracelets because of their beautiful Art Deco diamond bands. The bracelet portion is set with 86 SINGLE CUT DIAMONDS of H-I-J color, SI clarity that weigh approx. 1.60 ctw. This bracelet portion measures 3-1/8"? long, including the watch face, by 9/16"? wide and it is very flexible. The watch crystal alone measures 1/2"? at the longest point by 3/8"? wide. The watch face shows age, see pics. Although the ribbon band is very old, it is not original. The clasp is made of a base metal that has some corrosion on the back side. You can add your own band that is close to 7/16"? wide. Currently, the watch measures 6-3/4"? long when lying flat and the total weight is 17.2 grams. Each side of the diamond bracelet areas have finely detailed engravings. The back of the watch case as a pin point dent. CLASSIC ART DECO STYLE...ONE OF A KIND...JUST GORGEOUS!
