This historic English wall barometer was built around 1930 and shows the signature ‘James Lucking & Co Birmingham’ at the front side. It is an aneroid barometer which is set into a nutwood casing. A setting hand indicates the measurement results. Besides, there is a quicksilver thermometer with a Fahrenheit scale. The barometer is covered by a plate made of cut glass with a thin brass lunette.
The wall barometer is in a good condition with only small traces of age and use. Its diameter is 24 cm and the depths measures 9 cm.The barometer functioned well during a short-time test; but long term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. (cbo)
