Description
Japan, ca 17th to 18th century. Rare! Bronze candle holder in the form of an ear cup. Egg-shaped implement with hinged lid that folds out to show a short pricket and spout that allows melted wax to be easily poured out. Inscribed on base, along with old collection label. Size: 3.5" W x 4.5" H (8.9 cm x 11.4 cm)
