A stunning vintage Mathey Tissot ladies bracelet wrist watch, in 14Kt gold, Switzerland, circa 1940's - 1960's. This glamorous timepiece has been superbly crafted out of 14 karat yellow gold. The hinged spring cover lifts to reveal a petite rectangle watch face with a pair of gold hands and hour markers. The bracelet has been finished with a complementary box clasp, safety latch and chain. The overall condition is excellent with the watch having all its original parts inside and out and is keeping good time. There is a fair amount of expected general wear to the bracelet. The watch measures approximately 7.25 inches (18.42 cm) long by 0.67 inches (1.7 cm) wide and the face measures 0.47 inches (1.2 cm) by 0.39 inches (1 cm). Just the crystal face measures 0.43 inches (1.1 cm) by 0.28 inches (0.7 cm). It weighs approximately 53.34 grams (50.29 grams without the movement). The face of the watch is marked Mathey Tissot Swiss. The manual winding movement is marked Swiss Made, Mathey Tissot, seventeen, 17 Rubis, and 020. The inside of the case is marked 9285285 and the back of the case is marked 14K Gold, which has been confirmed with acid testing. Elegant!
