Necklace composed of graduated discoidal beads fashoined from stabilized or composite turquoise. FROM THE ESTATE OF JOHN KOEHLER. Mr. Koehler, an avid collector, had, at one time, purchased a defunct "Indian Trading Post" simply for the inventory - Anasazi and Pueblo pottery, baskets, beadwork and other Native American collectables, plus literally hundreds of Navajo concho belts and squash blossom necklaces, many of which were made by one prolific silversmith who'd been in the post's employ. The post was active in the 1950's and 1960's, and the bulk of the estate pieces, including this lot, date to that period. Origin: Native American / American Indian / Southwest jewelry.
