A German WMF Silverplated Covered Compote. Double handled compote designed with raised concentric circles along base, repeating diamond pattern, and concentric circles on the stem. Bowl bears additional diamond form decoration around perimeter beneath two rows of circular banding. Lid bears slot for serving utensil and additional diamond form decoration beneath a horse bit form finial. Underside is stamped "XO WMF" 10" x 11.5"

The exterior of the compote and lid sustain significant tarnish throughout. There are a number of pen-tip sized pitting spots throughout the interior.
