DESCRIPTION: Four Antonio Beato albumen prints of Egypt. Antonio Beato (1832–1906) was a British/Italian photographer. He is noted for his genre works, portraits, views of the architecture and landscapes of Egypt and the other locations in the Mediterranean region. Includes: 1) Luxor Temple with Rameses steamer on river. 2) Pylon and obelisk of the Luxor Temple. 3) Tomb of Nakht at Thebes. 4) Musicians in the Tomb of Nakht at Thebes. Each in gold frame with green matboard. MEASUREMENTS: Each approximately 10-1/2" x 8-1/2". Overall with frame: 16" x 13-3/4". CONDITION: Apparent toning consistent with age. Minor fading and wear to surface. Slight tear to pylon photograph.
