Description
An early 20th century diamond and moonstone brooch. Comprising twin heart-shape moonstone cabochons, within a shared rose-cut diamond surround, to the similarly-cut diamond floral and foliate highlight. Length 2.7cms. Weight 6.3gms. With fitted case.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamonds well matched. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Moonstones with good adularescence. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Box with name, 'The Alexander Clark manufacturing co. 188 Oxford St, London.' Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
