Description
A typewritten and signed / autograph letter by Charles M. Schultz (1922-2000) regarding how his ideas from the Peanut Comic / Cartoon strips came into being. This idea inquiry and response was in regard to a Peanuts comic Sunday page, 1990, where Charlie Brown's sister Sally in her report to her teacher, notes that the female model for the Mercury Dime was Poet Wallace Stevens' (1879-1955) wife Elsie Viola Kachel Stevens.
The note dated January 19th, 1994 is written on Charles Schultz letterhead stationary having a side portrait of Snoopy. Framed and matted and surmounted by the 1916 Liberty dime in question. Overall measuring 15.75" x 11.75". Additionally included is the referenced Peanuts cartoon strip from 1990, framed and matted measuring 13" x 16.75", and the letter to Charles Schultz, which prompted his reply.
