Nine strand pearl and diamond necklace. Nine strands of freshwater pearls, braided with three twisted ropes, having a light cream body color, good luster, measuring approximately 2.2 mm each. Each strand is strung on a fifteen inch cord to two yellow gold and platinum openwork terminals, set with a total of 28 old style full-cut diamonds, approximately .03 carat each. The clarity is SI1, to SI2 and I color by GIA standards as graded in the mounting. The necklace is fastened with a 14K white gold box clasp, set with 10 cultured pearls measuring 2.8 mm each. The clasp is joined with one cultured pearl on a yellow gold wire to one terminal. Measures 16" long, 1/2" wide.
