Description

A nice group of ephemera from Maine. This group has 4 pieces: (1) Portland & Rumford Falls 1902 folder with a large fold-out map. The map has a side that covers the railroad length. The other side has detail of the Rangeley Lakes region. The map has separated from the booklet. (2) Rumford Falls & Rangeley Lake Railroad annual pass from 1898. This is not a common road name. Some glue/loss of paper to the reverse. Still very nice. (3) Maine Central folder for, "The Rangeley", a named train with connections to New York and ending in Oquossoc with the rail bus connection to Kennebago. It's dated 1927 and it was part of a pre-Depression advertising series by the MEC. (4) Atlantic & Saint Lawrence 100 Lb (British) Bond. The first 15 coupons have been clipped. It has 2 large "Cancelled" stamps. It explains that this is a Grand Trunk Railway 99 year lease on the top.
