Description
Two late Victorian 18ct gold diamond and gem-set rings. Each designed as a graduated ruby, red-gem and old-cut diamond line, one with scrolling sides, the other inset to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. One with hallmarks for London, 1897. Total weight 6.1gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. One diamond with significant chip. Diamonds well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Varied inclusions, some surface reaching. Rubies are a medium deep slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with varied clarity and typical inclusions. Rubies in fair to poor condition with varied abrasion, some small chips. Ring sizes K and O 1/2. One stamped 18ct. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
