Pair of 19th century cut glass covered compotes in deep ruby cut to clear, floral leaf and window pattern, each with a matching lid feturing a cut and faceted finial, 10 1/2" ht. NOTE: A written history accompanies from Falconer, New York dealer Evelyn Norberg stating that these compotes were a wedding gift in 1835 to the grandparents of the Patterson sisters of 315 East Fourth St., Jamestown, New York. In the 1970s they were bequeathed to the WCA Hospital in Jamestown, New York. PROVENANCE: Cummings Collection
