Egyptian Art Deco style chairs c1920-30 era. Hand carved from beach wood with inlaid bone. The form of a goose head similar in form to the period Egyptian goose head x frame stools. Having goose feet and wings forming the arms back of the chairs stylistically very Deco in form .The seats are original in era hand stitched embroidered Egyptian cotton with scene's from Egyptian wall or papyrus pictures. The chairs most likely made in Egypt or possibly France. There is a layer of oxidized varnish which makes the white bone inlay look more like boxwood in color. The inlay having a black dot .looking like eyes perhaps representing the good luck eye of Horus or Ra". Condition very good, H. 31''. W. 28''. D. 22''
