A J. Parkes and Sons brass sextant in box. England. First quarter 20th century. Sextant with multiple lens, filters, mirrors, and telescopes. Inscribed on arc scale: "J. Parkes & Sons, Liverpool." In wooden box with label: "Martin & Co. Chronometer makers, 54, Canal des Brasseurs, ANTWERP." Sextent: 9 1/4"h x 10 1/2"w x 4 1/2"d. Box: 10"h x 11"w x 4 3/4"d.
Condition: No key. Some patination. Some cleaner residue. Scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use. Box with some fill, scratches, and dark spots.
