Description
A group of four 19th century wooden boxes. ++ Three round, painted, lap-seam pantry boxes impressed with "J. Burr" on top of lid. Made of cooper, John Burr (Hingham, Massachusetts, 1791-1857). ++ Green: impressed with "S. Frost" on bottom. 1 1/2"h x 6 3/4"diam. ++ Yellow with faux finish: 2 3/4"h x 6 3/4"diam. ++ Black with impressed star and copper nails: 2 7/8"h x 6 5/8"diam. ++ Black and green painted box. 6"h x 12 1/2"w x 7 7/8"d.
Condition: Broken lock and pencil marks on interior lid of painted rectangular box. Scuffs, scratches, and wear consistent with age and use.
