Willy Zügel was the son of the famous animal painter Heinrich von Zügel. Like his father he dedicated his artistic work to animals. In the years from 1911 to 1935 he designed various figures for Rosenthal, Nymphenburg, Meissen and Allach. The design for the duck originated in 1913 for Rosenthal.
Condition:
The figure is in overall very good condition with barely visible signs of wear. Its dimensions are c. 15.5 x 29 cm.
