A rare, un-used drone prototype featured in the Season One Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Arsenal of Freedom". The "Echo Papa 607" drone was created to protect the inhabitants of the planet Minos, but turned on the inhabitants during a weapons demonstration. This rare piece was created by the production to be the main drone featured in the episode, but was later replaced by the sleeker version seen in the final cut. This prototype was used in filming, and the lot also includes a collection of production material, including the original shooting script, storyboard set, and a copy of a VHS featuring the piece being used on set. Made from fiberglass, this piece features a main core with attached plexiglass screen, and three "arm" sections with claws. The item is wired to light up the claws and a small light on the touchscreen, but the electronics remain untested. This piece features wear from being on screen and years of storage, with small cracks and breaks in the paint, and deterioration in the black pin-striping, but remains in overall good condition. This piece measures 37" x 25" x 25" , and will require shipping by a third party.
