Description
Two late Victorian woven hair Albert chains. The first designed as a single tube of woven hair to the floral engraved spacers, the second designed as sections of three tubes of woven hair arranged in a twist to the faceted terminals and shaped openwork links, both with lobster-claw clasps. Lengths 44 and 128cms.
The condition of this lot is fair, with surface scratches to the metal in keeping with age and wear. The hair to the longer length necklace is fraying slightly to one end, where the hair meets at a join and by the clasp. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
