A Dragon Robe, 19th Century.
This blue ground dragon robe is embroidered with five 5-clawed dragons and flowers. The sleeves have borders of white which are embroidered with scenes of people. It is approximately 57 inches wide at the sleeves and 54 inches in length. Condition: It is in good condition.
Provenance: From a Washington DC estate, formerly in the collection of Mr. Marcel Baudez who was the French Consul General in Shanghai from November 1938 until May 1940 and the Fall of France to Nazi Germany.
