Bronze Incense Burner with Silver Inlay and Stand, 18th - 19th Century.
The pot has a flared rim and bowled middle with a slightly flared base rim. The censer's simple design gives it an elegant appeal. The sides have a silver-inlay pattern on the body, handles, and bottom. It comes with a wooden stand. Dimensions are approximately 4 7/8 inches in height and 7 1/2 inches in diameter. It is 10 1/4 inches wide at the handles. Condition: It is in overall good condition with signs of wear. There are three chips on the rim of the incense burner.
Provenance: From a Washington DC estate, formerly in the collection of Mr. Marcel Baudez who was the French Consul General in Shanghai from November 1938 until May 1940 and the Fall of France to Nazi Germany.
