A Pair of Famille Rose Vases with Two Handles, Republic Period.
These pale blue ground famille rose vases have orange handles with gold-toned flowers painted on them. The body and neck of the vases are covered in a floral motif with Shou symbols and ruyi heads. There are two vignettes on the necks, one depicting a rooster and the other depicting two woodpeckers. The bodies have two large vignettes with birds and flowers and two small vignettes with flowers. Both vases have a ruyi head border and a geometric border near the rim, a geometric border near the base of the neck, and an upright feather and Greek Key border towards the bottom. The vases have blue six-character marks on the bottoms. Vases are approximately 12 inches in height and 8 inches in diameter. Condition: They are in good condition.
