Description
AN AMERICAN CHIPPENDALE CARVED MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS, POSSIBLY PENNSYLVANIA, 18TH CENTURY, the rectangular top within a molded edge above four recessed panel graduated drawers, centering "later" paired brass batwing form back plates suspending bail handles flanking shield escutcheons, raised on a conforming molded plinth and ogee bracket feet. Height: 31 3/8" Width: 30" Depth: 16 1/2"
Condition
Good condition, with some normal surface marks and minor scratches, back right top corner reglued, age cracks, some dings and small chips, brass fittings replaced, drawers oak lined, mahogany has beautiful rich reddish brown tones with nice graining.
