Description
A DAUM NANCY CAMEO GLASS "PAYSAGE" VASE, SIGNED, CIRCA 1900, the colorless glass with yellow and orange powders, overlaid in sienna and deeply acid etched with a mountainous and verdant lake landscape at sunset, signed in cameo "Daum Nancy" with Cross of Lorraine alongside "France." Height: 6 1/4" Diameter: 4 1/4" Provenance: Estate of the Late James K. Schooler, Esq., Purchased from Upper Chenil Gallery, London, 2 June 1982, and accompanied by original receipt of purchase.
Condition
The cameo glass vase in superb condition, with few to no apparent scuffs, scratches, cracks, chips, or repairs. Colors are deep and vivid. Glass with small air bubbles, color inclusions, and irregularities, as is expected and preferred. Clearly and correctly signed and marked in the cameo. No markings on base.
