A copy of the original Brueton brochure is included; the table is illustrated in this brochure. A statement from the original owner:
"It is a unique size no longer in production. Will take 8 Brno chairs or 10 chairs of smaller width. For cocktail parties for MoMA I removed the chairs and used as a buffet-in-the-round…quite spectacular…featuring tropical fruit arranged high in the center with hors d’oeuvres spilling out in all directions across the marble surface. At a dinner party at my home, Vladimir Kagan was so fascinated with the design that he got down on his knees to discover what held it up (since the base appears too narrow to support the top. Finally in desperation he exclaimed: “How does this work?”
Answer: an X steel brace inside the polished Stainless Steel base with one hole in center to anchor to floor with one large molly (included). It can be put in place in 15 minutes. It has lived in five homes on marble, wood and tile flooring."
